Education Committee:

Design programs dedicated to strengthening the bonds between graduates, current students and the Alumni Association for the purposes of networking, mentoring, and enriching the curriculum program. Lay the groundwork
for supporting educational programs at L.G. Pinkston High School – Raise the level of Educational programs.

Key Areas:

• Show and Tell-Showcase (participate on career/college day at Pinkston)
• Assist with preparing students for exams
• Setup tours at local Junior college or University
• Get volunteers to tutor students at L.G. Pinkston High School
• Attend community meetings regarding educational programs at L.G. Pinkston High School
• Attend PTA Meetings and be and active PTA Member
• College Day – past students attending college come speak to students

Create an opportunity for graduates and students to casually network among each other as well as for the Education Committee, Executive Board and Alumni Members.

Scholarship: provide substantial scholarship support for college-level students.

Scholarship Application: Set guidelines for submitting a scholarship application. The Scholarship Review Committee will review/score all scholarship applications. The review committee will select the winners based on
the highest score. You must be an active member to be on the Scholarship Review Committee.
