NO LATE APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

Please read the application procedures and applicant qualifications prior to completing and returning this application. Only qualified applicants following application procedures will be considered for a LGPAADT Scholarship.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR SCHOLARSHIP

I. The student must demonstrate the ability to succeed with college work. (a) The student should be in the top half of their class. Transcripts must accompany the application. (b) THEA, SAT or ACT scores, as well as other academic evidence will be considered in the selection process.

II. The student must demonstrate leadership ability. (a) Should have a good general job /volunteer history or should have held offices in organizations or have a broad range of group participation.

III. The student must demonstrate the ability and desire to become a member of the L.G. Pinkston High School Alumni Association of Dallas, Texas. (a) The caliber of the student’s own statements on
the application dealing with the philosophy of living in West Dallas will be considered. (b) The student’s personal aims and goals should be consistent with this requirement.

IV. The student must reside in the state of Texas.

V. Hardship extension may be considered on a case by case basis. Scholarships are issued
directly to student after proof of enrollment and drop deadlines have been met.
